Hi everyone! Another quick but important update! For those of you who have been wanting to get your hands on the model and try it out for yourselves, we’ve added the Legacy Version of UrbanBEATS for download. This is the first, early version of UrbanBEATS that was developed from 2010 to 2017 and represents the first of idea of what UrbanBEATS is to become. We are no longer developing the legacy version as you read on the History page, but it does give you a good idea of what the model’s workflow looks like. Head over to the Legacy Version page to get your hands on the installer. Please note that this was uploaded to give you an understanding of what the research is all about. Whilst it can potentially be used to explore the design of Blue Green Infrastructure in your own case study, it does come with the caveat of some possible bugs and usability headaches that we are no longer fixing (since all our time and resources are poured into the new version).
To help you get started on using UrbanBEATS and perhaps stimulate your creative minds as to what kinds of things you would want to try out once the new version becomes fully operational, try out the ‘Getting Started guide’ over at the Tutorials and Guides page. This will walk you through all the steps in using the model. We used to send this version out to people inquiring about possibly using UrbanBEATS in their research.
